Get a seven-day insight into the daily lives of Mongolian nomads. Learn about the nomads’ unique way of life by immersing yourself in their daily activities and experiencing their freedom and vibrance for yourself.
Day 1 – Arrive in UB, city tour.
Day 2 – Fly to Murun ( 1 hr 30 min), drive from Murun to “Nature’s Door camp” (122 km, 2 hr 30 min), eat dinner, overnight at tourist camp.
Day 3 – Visiting Nomad family. Learn how to make dairy products such as curds, yogurt, Mongolian cheese, butter; as well as milking goats and herding sheep,
overnight in a tent.
Day 4 – In the morning take photos of milking cows and milk cows (6:00-7:00am). In the afternoon, learn how to build Mongolian traditional accommodation “Ger”, and in the evening, eat Mongolian traditional food “Horhog” and spend the night in a tent.
Day 5 – Go back to the camp in the morning, where you may choose to do activities such as horse riding, cycling, kayaking and hiking. Eat dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 6 – Fly back to UB. Sightseeing around UB.
Day 7 – Departure.
Accommodation & Food
Accommodation at the camp and hotel with three meals and hot shower. Camping equipment provided for outdoor stay near the nomad family.
Domestic flights, as well as urban and local transportation.
The weather in the Khovsgol area is around +11-20 degrees Celcius in June-July.
